It's bright and frosty. Sandra has her work cut out to break ice for her hordes of ducks. Heels won't go through - a hammer is needed. With so many bowls and troughs it's a marathon job. She's happy out there in the sunshine with her flock.

The car said 16 when I went out today.
This morning, the guy came with the part for the heater, but then decided that the whole thing needed to be replaced. (Why couldn't he have opened it up last Wednesday?) He came this afternoon with the new heater, but apparently needed something else to install it with. So now it's going to be 9:30am tomorrow.

I've just been to the supermarket. Their excuse for having nothing I went for was "panic buying"

More freaking snow. Apparently, there's a huge low pressure system parked to the northeast of me and it's not moving any time soon. Just bringing cold air down from the north, across the lake and dumping lake effect snow on us.
I'd wish for the lake to freeze over, but Ontario, for its small area, is quite deep.

There's a couple of inches of snow this morning. I managed to keep the domestic taps running and emptied the hoses on the field so they didn't freeze solid. They're under the snow now and the problem will be finding them 
This weather is so infrequent we're never really ready for it when it comes.
