Re: WTF smilies you see at other forums
Question for the guys, did your parents give you a "Becoming a Man" Party?

Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions on what to do?

Maybe throw some dignity in the bag for the poor kid.

Damn. At least Bar Mitzvahs come with big ticket presents. Passing your kid a bag of acne wash and deodorant over the chicken fingers at Appleby's really does not bode well for his voyage into manhood.

No. While the idea doesn't sound all bad, in practice it's likely to end up acutely embarrassing for the boy.
Maybe give him some beer and take him to a boxing match or something...

Goog gawd awmighty, this thread needs a warning label. I blame Legs.
Also, like so many other questions that spring, unwanted, from this thread, I hesitate to ask but... Why do they call it 'crunchy'?

Re: WTF smilies you see at other forums
I thought it sprang from granola; as in, hippies eat granola, granola is crunchy, ergo, hippies are crunchy.

I'm "MM. Love that whole grain crunch" which isn't too surprising, I live in Oregon for Pete's sake!
My dad even called me crunchy, which I guess it better than being a "crusty"
Urban Dictionary: crusty

Re: WTF smilies you see at other forums
Likewise, Ymir. The general consencus among men seems to be, if you need to ask, you're not ready.
Apparently we are "Sprinkled with granola". We likely lost a lot of points for being voracious carnivores. Also, I do not think it coincidence that the second highest score category says "Super Nutty".
I knew crunchy meant into organic stuff and so on, I was just wondering 'why crunchy?', but I guess the granola reference makes sense.
