If you leave a reply to him saying that you will try giving civil a try and you would like to be removed from my ignore list, I will see it. I will do so and see where it goes from there.

No, nothing intellectual. Just a way of the people on my ignore list to let me know that they're through being assholes. They can do so through a reply to you or anybody else who may reply. I should be able to see that.

The chances of anyone online changing, in any way, is the same for you as it is for them.
It could happen, but I'm not waiting up nights.
Usually, due to the anonymous nature of the old internet, and the self selection of people who are unemployed, not busy doing important shit, and have no real friends, new people either get thick skinned, or stop reading the morons of the world.
Meaning any change is for the worse, never for the better.
X is the only platform currently where you can just be yourself, and not worry about some fascists/woke/commie/right winger moron censoring you.
It's also has some features no other social media has.

There's an approach I haven't tried. Tell me a reply I made to anybody in any of my threads that you think was uncivil. Tell me the title of the thread and the post number in which I said I said the uncivil thing. Almost certainly it was a response of something uncivil said to me first. Also, it would seem that I have just about everybody who frequents this forum on my ignore list. How do you think they got there.

I could be changed on this forum. All it would take is for me to be proven to be wrong through debate. For those I have on my ignore list, that is beyond their capability. But maybe, just maybe, one or two of them may have matured enough to take on logical discussion.
As for X, it isn't a forum. It is just a platform to tweet meaningless tweets. If I wanted to post somewhere where whatever you posted would be here today, gone tomorrow, I would post at the liberal forum. There they only have one category worth posting at. Their "no holds barred" section. Where it would soon get buried by other posts. Then you would have to go to page 2,3 or 4 of the list of started threads to find what you had posted before.
I have never, in 30 or so years on The Net, Ever had an ignore list.

Probably because you never said anything worthwhile enough to piss anybody off. You posted a reply in one of my threads called, "Free thought vs Free Speech." In it I posted a bunch of memes concerning Free Speech. If you remember, the very essence of Freedom of Speech is to sometimes say "offensive" things. That being the topic presented. Not about the person presenting the topic. That is what most people around here seem to miss. If you don't like the topic being brought up, REFUTE IT! Don't go after the person who brought it up. In that regard, I have another truthful meme for you.
