I almost thought it was an Onion piece when I read there was hail in Cookietown and a state of emergency in Alfalfa and Canadian counties. Cleveland, Dewey, Garfield, Grant are also counties and not past presidents or loosing candidates.
This is what 11.5" of rain is doing here in Nebraska as the local river jumped from 4 to 24.5 feet in 8 hours. The places with 6 to 9" are flooding but not as bad.

I feel like a goober complaining about this while you guys are getting tornadoed and stuff, but:
It. Is. Snowing.
It's been raining for the past couple of days, and we've been having to keep bailing out this one problem window well to mitigate the basement flooding. Yesterday, for an hour or two, I was only able to take up to a seven minute break from bailing before it'd fill up and start coming in through the window, and we were both up until almost four this morning, taking turns checking it and bailing before it finally seemed to slow down enough that we could go to bed. We assume it's a clogged drain in there, but Matlock dug down looking for it and the hole is now really deep with no sign of a drain at all. Weird.
And now we're supposed to get 5-8" of snow overnight.

I live well above any flood plain. There is some flooding someplace in Oklahoma, but not here where I live. It has rained a lot, but I don't know how much because my rain gauge broke. The closest tornado in the past two weeks was about 10 miles south of my place.

Highs are supposed to get to the upper seventies today and tomorrow with mostly clear skies, so that's p. terrible. Fortunately it is supposed to cool off after Tuesday.

Does that mean the ski season is extended through summer now.
Nebraska got some of both.
Up to 2 ft of snow in western Nebraska, high winds and rain in the East
I'm not saying 60mph winds are high winds as that happens all the time here. But it rained again yesterday. I think it may have been the first time the national weather service in NE issued a Bizzard and Tornado Watch in the same day.

That's an improvement; normally it gets here a full month ahead of time.

Yesterday was 84 F and like 2000% humidity. Maybe not that, but high enough. So then it rained starting at 4 am and is still going on and off and on again all day. I'm tired of this hot, humid, rain, cool, mud, flood pattern we are in this year. The humidity in the house yesterday with the AC running non stop was 38%. The dehumidifier in the basement is running non stop too. I may need another for upstairs just to wring out the house. I don't want to live in Louisiana.
On the plus side our resevoirs are full. Two years ago the big one was way, way down, but it filled at 3 to 4 inches per day through the spring and is up 75+ feet over last year. So I guess we're not in any sort of drought anymore.
