Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
When one player runs out of tiles, that's the end of the game.
Then you do the thing where you add the points from the remaining player's tiles to the score of the person who finished the game - but in this case that won't make any difference as Nightson has already won!
Congratulations Nightson! Thanks to the other players, and special thanks to Gonzo for devising and running the game!

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
Thanks guys, it was a really fun game. I really caught a break when I looked at Eolian and was like "Wait, doesn't that word start with an A?"

Well sign up if you want to play the next one. I'm doing too much on forums and in real life to run a game right now, but in 2-3 weeks I'll prolly be ready to do another. Maybe.

Trying to replicate the scrabble board is causing me to hyperventilate. I'll post my move by announcing the starting position.
My first word is starting from H8 to K8.

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
medially (N6 - N13)
Think I used all my letters, but not 100% sure. If a letter I have overlaps where it crosses a word, does it count as gone from my pile, or as still in my pile?

I've been waiting for Gonzo to confirm whether the letters sr71 has fit in. If so, good play sr71.
So, yah ... Gonzo?

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
To spell it out ... given sr71 has submitted an 8 letter word, and the grid references, there shouldn't be any of sr71's letters left over, let alone the letter 'e'.

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
I never played Scrabble, let alone Cyber Space Cat Scrabble, so we'll go into a painful disquisition on WTF, I don't know how?
First batch o letters: G L R I E N H . Spellt nigher. The E overlapped and I had an L left over. What was left in the pile?
Second batch o letters sent: L E I Y D M A. I clearly had an L left over from, so it was OK to spell medially, with two L's, right wrong?
So, can I even spell medially, and if so, what is left over? Sorry Gonzo, I'm pretty dense. What else is new?

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
Don't stress, sr71 .. I was just waiting til it was sorted. I'm okay with waiting as long as needed. I know what learning a new game can be like.
Will just set over here until it's worked out.

Re: Cat Scrabble Game Thread
I'm confused, SR. Do you think you can use the same letter twice or something? You only have one L, right?
