Welcome to the Freethought Forum
The lofty high Renaissance and marked mannerism. The heavy and ornate Baroque era, followed by the gentle Rococo. Harsh neo-classicism, rich romanticism, lush naturalism, stern realism, blurred impressionism. Heady surrealism, blockish cubism, postwar Dada, pointy-cornered art deco and cookie cutter Bauhaus. Let us skip the dreariness of the past half century and arrive finally at FF Style.

U.S.S. John S. McCain
Aug 22, 2017 - 1:35 PM - by The Man
Seems the worst fears have come to pass.

Quote:
Divers have found remains of missing American sailors in the flooded compartments of the Navy destroyer John S. McCain, which collided with an oil tanker on Monday off the coast of Singapore, the commander of the United States Pacific Fleet said Tuesday.

The commander, Adm. Scott H. Swift, also said that “potential remains” had been located by the Malaysian Navy, which is involved with the search effort at sea for the 10 missing sailors.
It's still not entirely clear what happened or if this is related to the Fitzgerald collision. Silverman, from a few days ago, explains the argument that these collisions might be the results of cyberwarfare. And as Farley speculates, it's also just possible the USN crews are overworked in general. Regardless, this is terrible news.
