This thread is more than 204 days old. The topic has most likely meandered from the OP and some of the participants may no longer be active here. Please take the time to read the entire thread and ensure the full discussion is something you wish to resurrect. If you feel it is preferable to make a new reply to this thread rather than starting a new thread, you can still do so.
I have read this thread thoroughly and understand it is old, yet still wish to reply.

It turns out that the same person was responsible both for declaring the FormerFundie FUCK YOU ALL exit flail the gold standard, and for later revising the exit flail rating guidelines to use the Shake as a unit of measurement. That guy is really smart, and we should all agree with both of his contradictory, yet equally valid, opinions!

If you ever meet that guy, Mr Gorden, you should shake him by the hand. He is clearly a connoisseur of drama exits, and one who treats consistency with the disdain it deserves.
I have a question about starting new threads. And this is the thread that's closest to the topic I saw, so I'm asking here.
Why do people try to find an existing thread to post a comment that's not exactly on-topic instead of creating a new thread?
I've noticed a couple people saying that their post was closest to the thread topic, so they were adding it there. Why are people conserving threads here?
ETA: I checked the FAQ and didn't see mention of it there.
Every new thread is implicitly a challenge for the best thread title of the month contest, whether you intend it to be or not. So - sometimes subconsciously - if the thing you have to post is more substantial than the best title you can think of for it, you post it in an existent thread.
