Default Religion is Antiquated

I have studied most of the world's religions even the minor ones like Shintoism, Confucianism, Bahai and even Scientology. There are things I agree with in all of them and things I disagree with. None of them embrace the wholeness of Life.

Religion seems to meet a need in the lives of most people as they seem to need to connection to the One. My Philosophy of Life fulfills this need in my life and even has the element of immortality.

You're welcome. I enjoy sharing my life.

Since you say what you feel, what do you feel about religion?

Does your philosophy offer any coupons or discounts for local businesses? :chin:

What did you agree with in Scientology?

The part I agree with the most is the gorilla carnival.

I like the fact that it is American and modern. Also I like their idea of engrams or psychological blockages which have to be resolved in order to be free and clear. I like their main idea of being clear.

I dislike that they have become too cult-like and that they rely on leader worship, especially L. Ron Hubbard, who evaded taxes by living on a ship in international waters.

I made a mistake. I changed the price of my book to $7.77 but Amazon discounted it and kept the old price of $6.96. Amazon has a history of discounting book and there was a lawsuit by the major book publishers against them I believe it has been resolved and Amazon won.

Can't say for sure if there is religion on Vega nowadays. I can only say that this vegan on terra firma has no religion.

Like most things involving humans, I think religion offers some things to some people which are good for those people...community, codified rules, hope, and a focus for awe and wonder, and also can be a negative influence on behavior and interactions when interpreted through other minds.

I myself do not feel any need or desire for religion in my life.

I think all religions, to the extent that they are legitimate, embrace the wholeness of life . . . as it was understood at the time they were founded at least.

From my depth of understanding of religion I would agree with you a little. I think that only Hinduism and Catholicism attempt to embrace wholeness. Both are theistic and triniitarian with a plethora of lesser gods or saints. I think of Greek Mythology the same way
