I'll be surprised if there are any TNG episodes I've not seen before, but I never hardly watched DS9 so those will be mostly new for me.

...and they arrived, at last, this morning from China. I ordered (and paid) for them December 26th. Cost me $252 U.S. They arrived today, January 25th. I had given up on them arriving. The seller had sent me no communication and the website had (temporarily as it turned out) closed down. I had started a claim with PayPal for a refund, but I've cancelled the claim now.
So now I have 96 DVDs to watch.

It was at that time they they started with the long 10 episode story arcs. It's great when you have them on DVD because you can just pop the disks in one after the next and kill a whole weekend.
That said, don't neglect season 2, which is really interesting as there is a terrorist cell on the station!

One little ship, I assume. Although it's not the Defiant that shrinks.

Sorry if this is really old, but I just discovered The Picard Song (right click, save as), and it's awesome.

My apologies, king nerd
It was a Runabout...but which one?
BTW: I loved that runabouts were named after rivers. Such a cool idea.

Ooh, definitely! And don't miss season 1's "Duet." It's masterful storytelling, really beautiful. And I love "Babel" and "Move Along Home" -- fun romps.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
To tell you the truth, I'm not the biggest fan of DS9. Firstly because of Avery Brooks who overacts like there's no tomorrow and secondly because of that whole emissary/prophets religious mumbo-jumbo. Annoying.
Oh, and the Bajorans suck, too.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
The Bajorans do suck, but the Cardassians, Jem Hadar, Klingons, and Vorta all kick ass all over the place. Okay, maybe not the Vorta, but definitely Weyoon.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
Ensign Ro Laren instead of Kira Nerys would have been another huge improvement, imho.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
DS9 was my favorite Trek ever. Brooks' scenery-chewing was one of the assets, rather than faults, IMO. And I just love that voice.
Kira was only hideously annoying for the first season and part of the second, then the writers finally gave her a break and let her become somewhat likeable.
The best part of DS9 was the plethora of great recurring characters outside the ensemble: Dukat, Garak, Weyoon, even Martok. It was also the only series that really took storylines to unexpected places, I thought. I can't recall too many story developments in other Treks that had me saying, "Whooooaa!" aloud.

Indeed, and so is Garak. I'm watching the season where Garak starts dating Dukat's half-Bajoran daughter, and I'm all "Teehee!" every time those two bitchy men go at it.
