Speaking of the quote generator, there are some issues with the search feature (The basic one, not necessarily the advanced--I didn't check).

The search results say "Random quote #X" where X is actually the number of search results displayed on the page, sort of. For example, if you search for "Adam", as I just did to reproduce the problem, you get 35 hits. At 25 results per page, the first page says Random quote #25, and then the second page says Random quote #35. These only show up at the very top. None of the individual results has a number associated with it, nor is there anywhere to click and bring up their individual pages with info about the submitter or quote number.

A similar thing happens with the View All feature--it just says Random quote #25, 50, etc with no way to get to the individual quotes' pages.

I actually keep the quote generator collapsed normally, but I thought that was a problem worth fixing.

I think the guy who wrote the quote generator is probably one of the most committed, responsive and all around hard-working coders on vb.org. It's a damn shame it's such a flaming pile of dogshit. I feel truly evil saying so.

Has this always been the case? I never noticed it before the upgrade.

When you quick reply, all previous posts in the thread retain an out of date post bit. So your new post will have a different post count than the others. The same applies to anyone that crossposts with you--I first noticed it in some mafia game when Smilin posted, then posted again while I was typing. The two consecutive posts had different postbits. I would assume if someone changed their location or whatever in the interim, that wouldn't be refreshed either. Just a weird little thing I noticed, not necessarily a bad thing (It probably saves a little bandwidth).



Edit: The forum seems to have eaten my image and just turned it into an illegible thumbnail. The real thing was like 800 pixels tall and 10 times the file size as what I get when clicking on that. It says "click to view larger image" but that doesn't work and I don't get the magnifying glass pointer.

Also, it's a Javascript thing. Same reason you can't thank someone who xposts with you. Refreshing the page fixes all that.

Did you attach it as a png? A similar thing happened to me with a png. And it got converted to jpg.
