Forum Upgrade 2008

Due to my hectic schedule we are negotiating to have a qualified professional handle the next upgrade and it'll probably happen in the next week or so. I've asked him to give us at least 24-48 hrs. notice and I'll announce it as soon as I know when.

This coder comes highly recommended and has a lot of hands-on vB experience so I don't expect any problems, but I maintain backups of the forum on my local server so no matter what happens I can always restore from that in a worst-case scenario.

His prices are very reasonable so if all goes well we'll almost certainly use him to make modifications or create custom hacks going forward, so now is probably a good time to remind me about all your forum hopes and dreams.

I would like an unread/new posts link at the bottom of threads, between the "Previous Thread" and "Next Thread" links.

Also, on the main page, where all the different forums are listed, the icon changes to show whether a forum has unread posts or not. Currently, it seems to show that it contains unread posts even if those unread posts are only in ignored threads. If that's intentional, I'd like to see an option to display as unread only if it contains unread non-ignored posts. If it's not intentional, I would like to see it fixed.
