Crumb's Game Thread

:D

Ok now that the evil scum have bumped me off from the GitS Mafia I think I will be taking a mafia break. :yup: But I would like to run other games if I can find any players.

The games I can run are:
Clue - We've only done 1 so far and I thought there was interest in more.
Scotland Yard - Which is currently being run.
Guess Who - Which we have not tried yet, but there was a little interest and I did work out how to do it.
Poker - We haven't done any :ff: poker in awhile.

What would you guys like to play next?

I would play Poker, Crumb.

Also, Guess Who may be relevant to my interests but I have no idea what it is. Is there a thrad?

Guess who is a 1v1 kids game (we would do it tournament style) played with a board of characters. We would do it Simpsons themed.

Round 1 - blah v blah
:kent::otto::catlady::bart::jasper:
:ralphie::abesimpson::kang::patti::wiggum:
:homer::hans::lyle::lionelhutz::martin:
:blinkythefish::troy::nelson::carl::skinner:
:rod::barney::comicbookguy::todd::barrywhite:

Each player secretly picks a character and then they use a series of yes or no questions to figure out what the others character is. The first one to guess the others character wins.

Ooh, I like the sound of that. :thumbup:

I'm up for Poker, and I'd be willing to give Guess Who a try.

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

I think Scotland yard might work better as a two-player game - one player being the fugitive and the other moving all five detectives.

Of course, that might spoil it as an :ff: game as there would only be two players instead of six. On the other hand, each game would likely be over much more quickly, so there could perhaps be several games running at once - maybe run as a league with each player playing fugitive and detectives against each of the others in the league.

It would be a lot more work for you though! :sisyphus:

That would be a lot of work. :eep:

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

It would just be a simple matter of programming to automate most of the work. :P

Well let me know when you finish it up. :blank:

My favorite Crumb game was :ff: Survivor. That was soooo much fun!

I remember playing Guess Who in the days of my innocence. I heart the shit out of that Simpsons table. So I guess that means I'd be up for it. I'd be up for poker too. Gotta get some use out of that deck of cards I uploaded. Maybe other card games too? What would work in a forum format?

I'd like to try the guess who so I am glad to hear the interest. I might start that next. There certainly should be other card games we can play here. :chin:

So no nerdy roleplaying game?

:ouch:

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

I'm open for suggestions, though mostly I am looking for simple games that lend themselves to forum based adaptation.

I would like to play any of those games, they are all fun and this is a good group of fun players for games.

Simple random dungeon-romp style games would be easy to run in a thread. 1 move a day, use some old D&D rules and a simple grid.

Also - whats survivor?

Crumb 07-08-2011 10:43 PM

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

Survivor was really just a one-off game: FF Survivor - Game Thread - Freethought Forum

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

Survivor looks brilliantly fun, I vote to play that next.

This is relevant to my interests. We tried a weekly FF online group, via chats and RPTools, but it bogged down and died due to scheduling conflicts.

I'm interested, too. I've always wanted to learn to play D&D games, but never had both the time and the opportunity line up just so.

Y'all should try the chats D&D again. It's all Adam's fault that the last one fell apart.

Crumb 07-09-2011 04:19 AM

Re: Crumb's Game Thread

We have other Adam's capable of taking his place. :plotting:

But I already have an IRL gaming group.
